The Fortune Teller / La bonne aventure

Paris, nowadays. Ombline lives alone in Montmartre, with her two parrots which she calls Mummy and Daddy. A fortune teller once advises her to live and love instead of remaining by herself and focused on the past. In the same building, a few floors below hers, Pierre has been living secluded too since he got betrayed by a woman, he is certain he cannot love anymore. Shy during the day, Pierre becomes quite chatty at night… where he sleepwalks! Will they get to know each other? And will Ombline follow Mr Fitzpatrick, a mysterious crocodile-man who adviced her to remain pure and lonely? A dreamy and elegant novel in a Jean-Pierre Jeunet atmosphere, which reminds of Amélie Poulain.
